Double Lake Biomedical Grand Lecture Series No.12

On April 16 2018, Prof. Hui Feng from Boston University was invited to participate in the “Double Lake Grand Lecture series”. She presented an academic report named as  “Molecular Mechanisms Promoting MYC-mediated Leukemogenesis". The teachers and students from Wuhan University Medical Research Institute, School of Life Sciences, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Affiliated People's Hospital, Affiliated Zhongnan Hospital, and Chinese Academy of Sciences actively participated in this wonderful academic exchange activity.

Prof.Feng is working as an assistant Professor of Hematology and Oncology Center for Medicine and Cancer Research, Boston University School of Medicine. In 2002, she received her Ph.D. in cell biology from University of Georgia and engaged in post-doctoral research in the School of Pediatric Oncology, Harvard Medical School. Prof.Feng's main research direction is to identify genes and signaling pathways which plays an important role in the occurrence and development of MYC-associated tumors, especially T-lymphoblastoma/leukemia, breast cancer and neuroblastoma. She has published many high-level papers in such internationally renowned journals as Cancer Cell, Leukemia, PNAS, Journal of Experimental Medicine, and Haematologica.
